Handkerchiefs, ties, an old man
on the street selling loose
freshly roasted nuts

from a bright blue cart.
Is there anything
lovelier?

 

한 노인이

밝은 파란색 카트에서

손수건, 넥타이, 그리고 막 구워낸

따끈한 콩을 길거리에서 팔고 있어요.

이것보다 더

아름다운 모습이 있을까요?

 

I know—now—
it is only a matter
of days (if I am lucky)

until I, too, stand somewhere hoping
another human will stop
and find what I’m offering interesting.
