5월 말에 뒷 마당에서 제일 먼저 피는 Bleeding Heart 의 고운 자태

계절의 여왕 5월과 함께 동토의 나라 캐나다에도 드디어 봄이 찾아 왔다.

그리고 주위가 이틀 사이에 온통 초록으로 덮이고

나뭇가지와 꽃나무는 새순과 꽃망울이 올망종말 달려있다.

그리고 잔뜩 처지고 웅크리고 있던 이웃이 갑자기 활기를 되찾아서

봄 햇볕이 그득한 거리로, 마당으로 나와서

활짝 웃으면서 손을 흔들고 인사를 주고 받는다.

나도 오월의 찬란한 기운을 받아서인지

괴테의 시에 베토벤이 곡을 쓴 '오월의 노래'를

오랜만에 힘차게 불러 본다.
