백년 후에....

 

 

One hundred years from now,

it will not matter

what my bank account was,

how big my house was,

or what kind of car I drove.

 

But the world may be a little better,

because I was important

in the life of a child.

앞으로 백년이 지난 후에는

내가 저금 통장에 얼마나 돈이 있는지,

얼마나 큰 집에 살았는지,

얼마나 좋은 차를 몰고 다니는지는

아무 의미가 없으리라.

 

하지만

내가 어느 한 아이의 인생에서

중요한 사람이 되어 주었기에

이 세상이 지금보다

조금은 더 나은 세상이 되리라.
