타임즈가 선정한 2018 세계 최고 명문 대학-Times Higher Education World University Rankings

영국의 THE(Times Higher Education) 가 2018 세계 최고의 명문대학을
어제 9월 5일에 발표했다.
올해 최고의 명문대학으로 영국의 옥스포드와 케임브릿지 대학이
1위와 2위를 차지해서 영국의 자존심을 세워 주웠다.

세계 최고의 명문대학을 선정하는 기준은
다섯개의 부문으로 나뉘어서 평가를 했다:


      • 교수진/교육 환경: Teaching (the learning environment)
      • 연구 실적: Research (volume, income and reputation)
      • 논문 피인용도: Citations (research influence);
      • 국제화: International outlook (staff, students and research)
      • 산업 기여도: Industry income (knowledge transfer)


그리고 위의 다섯 부분의 비중은 아래와 같다.

Teaching (the learning environment): 30%

      • 평판 Reputation survey: 15%
      • 교수진 학생 비율 Staff-to-student ratio: 4.5%
      • 박사과정 학사과정 학생 비율 Doctorate-to-bachelor’s ratio: 2.25%
      • 교수진의 박사학위 비율 Doctorates-awarded- to-academic-staff ratio: 6%
      • 산업 기여도 Institutional income: 2.25%


Research (volume, income and reputation): 30%

      • 연구 평판 Reputation survey: 18%
      • 연구 기여도 Research income: 6%
      • 연구 생산성 Research productivity: 6%


Citations (research influence): 30%


   International outlook (staff, students, research): 7.5%

      • 해외 유학생과 자국 학생수의 비율 International-to-domestic-student ratio: 2.5%
      • 해외 출신 교수진과 자국 교수의 비율 International-to-domestic-staff ratio: 2.5%
      • 국제 교류도 International collaboration: 2.5%


Industry income (knowledge transfer): 2.5%





올해는 THE 사는 예년과 달리 전 세계의 1,000개의 명문대학을 선정했는데,
