베르디 레퀴엠 5 (Lux Aeterna & Libera me)

 11월 22일 일요일 저녁에 Winspere Centre 에서 Edmonton Symphony Orchestra 와

4몀의 훌륭한 솔로들과 협연으로 

음악 홀을 가득 채운 약 3000명의 관객들이 모인 가운데에

베르디의 레퀴엠을 무대에 올렸습니다.

 

평소에 전문직에 (의사, 변호사, 엔지니어, 작가, 연주가, 교수, 예술가 등등)종사하면서

아마추어들로 모인 합창단이기에

무척 바쁜 일상에서도 두달 반 동안 열심히 연습해서 감동적인 공연을 가질 수 있어서

그동안 투자했던 시간과 노력이 헛되지 않았나 보다.

 

다가오는 토요일 28일과(Royal Canadian 군악대)

12월 17일에 (Edmonton Symphony Orchestra 정기공연) 가질 크리스마스 공연을 위해서

휴식도 없이 내일부터 바로 정기적인 연습에 들어 간다.

 

레퀴엠의 원래 목적은 세상을 떠난 영혼의 영원한 안식을 위해서이지만

현재 살아 있는 우리 모두들에게도 우리의 생을 마감 할때까지

올바르게 잘 살아 가게 하는 좋은 길잡이로도 손색이 없기에

이 곡이 주는 메시지를 가슴에 잘 새기면서 올 한 해를 마무리하면 좋겠다는 생각이 듭니다.

                                     정성들여 만든

                                여러가지 음식들이

                                 커다란 연습실의

                             벽을 둘러서 마련 된

                               테이블에 놓여 있다.

         (앞에 네모 난 그릇과 그 앞에 있는

            커다란 크리스탈에 담겨진 음식이

                               내가 만들어 간

시금치 dip and sour dourgh bread 이다)

 

 

 

 

 

 

무대 위에서 공연에 참가한

오케스트라 단원들,

솔리스트,

합창단원들,

공연자들의 가족과 친지들

약 600명이 모여서

칵테일 파티를 즐기고 있다.

  레퀴엠의 6부는 Lux aeterna(영원한 빛을

  그들에게 비추소서,

  영원한 안식을 주소서)

 

  그리고 마지막 7부는 Libera me(주여,

  최후의 심판의 날에 하늘과 땅이 무서움에 떨때

  영원한 죽음에서 저를 구해 주소서)

  달라는 간절한 기도로

  이 오페라처럼 극적이고

  아름답기도 하고,

  무섭기도 하고,

  가슴이 미어지듯 슬프기도 하지만

  살다가 알고 모르고 지은 죄를 용서 받고

  영원한 안식을 간구하면서

  조용히

  장엄미사곡의 막을 내린다.
