Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games (성화 릴레이 2)

올림픽 성화가 드디어 거의 10,000 km의 먼 길을 거쳐서

오늘 우리가 살고 있는 에드몬튼 시내를 통과한다

.

막내는 친구들과 벌써 그저께부터 지들끼리 약속을 하더니

오늘 안그래도 바쁜 엄마에게 살살 웃으면서

물론 성화 릴레이도 보고, 얼마간의 거리는 뒤쫓아가기도 하고 

아울러 시청과 주정부 건물 앞에서 가질 멋진 축하공연도 보면 안 되냐고 물어 본다.

수요일 저녁마다 있는 오케스트라 리허설에 빠지는 것은 아니고

조금 늦게 가는 것 뿐이니 봐 달라는

그애의 청을 모질게 뿌리치지 못하고 그러라고 하면서

그 시간에 일을 하는 나도 레슨을 취소하고

그 자리에 가서 함께 축하 분위기에 젖고 싶어진다.

 

캐나다에서 언제 다시 동계올림픽이 개최 될지 생각을 하면

더 그러고 싶다...
