계절의 여왕 5월에 봄눈과 봄글과 함께....

5월 6일 아침에 함박눈이 수북하게 내린 우리집 앞마당

 

 

2주 전부터 정원과 텃밭에 겨우내 쌓인 묵은 낙엽들과 쓰레기를 치우고,

누렇게 변한 잔디들도 산뜻하게 긁어내고,

채소씨를 뿌리기 전에 텃밭의 흙을 엎은 후 퇴비를 넣고 땅을 골라준 후에

5월 첫 주말에 꽃모종도 심고,

작년에 모아 둔 채소씨를 심으려는 생각에 잔뜩 부풀었다.

 

그런 생각을 아는지 모르는지 아침에 일어났더니

솜털같은 함박눈이 한치 앞도 보이지 않을 정도로 내려서

완전 설국으로 둔갑해서 그저 기가 막혀서

허허허 웃고 말았다.

 

잔뜩 부풀어 오른 마음에 찬물을 끼얹은 폭설이지만

푸른 새싹은 아니더라도

천상에서 선사해 준 하얀 눈꽃은

바라만 봐도 저절로 아름답고 포근해서 다소 위안이 된다.

 

눈 질끈 감고 덤덤하게 기다리다 보면

오만 애간장을 태울만큼 다 태우고

언제가는 맛보기만 아니라

참 봄이 올 것이 자연의 이치이니

아름다운 설경을 배경으로
