SANCTUARY /거룩한 성전

모든 성당의 중심은 거룩한 성전/Sanctuary이다.
이곳은 성직자 혹은 신부들이 사목회 위원들이 모여서 미사를 집전하며,
바로 옆에는 이 미사를 위해서 아름다운 음악을 제공하는 성가대 자리가 있다.
이 공간은 산타 마리아 델 피오레 성전
/the sanctuary of Santa Maria del Fiore
(두오모 대 성당)의 제대 공간을 재현해 놓은 곳이다.
여기엔 귀중한 성서와 전례 그리고 봉헌에 관한 물건들
그리고 성가대 갤러리/칸토리아로 이루어졌다.
이 Sanctuary는 루카 델라 롭비아와 도나텔로에 의해서
1430대 초반에 제작되어서 제대 위 양 쪽에 높은 곳에 설치되어서
성가대원들과 오르갠이 들어섰다.
150여 년을 기다려 왔던 두오모 성당 돔(천장)이 드디어 완공되어서
기쁨에 넘친 피렌체 시민들의 분위기를 보여주며,
그 아래에 새겨진 시편 150편은
하느님의 찬미하기 위해서 다양한 악기들이 연주한
콘서트를 기술하고 있다.
