전날 비가 내린 후라서 바람은 잠잠해졌지만,

 땅이 여전히 축축한 오후에 기온도 쌀쌀한데도 불구하고

가을이 더 가기 전에 가을을 몸으로 느껴보기 위해서

잘 껴입고, 집 뒤 자연보호지역 숲으로 향했다.

이 자연보호 구역 숲 내의 트레일은

편하게 산책할 길보다는

이처럼 50도의 경사진 언덕도 많고,

트레일 폭도 40 cm에 불과해

겨우 한 사람이 지나갈 수 있는 길이 대부분이고

늪 지역도 많아서 잘못하면 발이 빠질 수도 있고

험상궂은 야생동물도 언제라도 출현할 수 있어서

오늘처럼 혼자 트래킹을 하다가

만약에 사고라도 나면 수습하기도 어려울 수 있다는 생각에

평소보다 더 조심스럽게 발을 띤다.

 

올라가면서 붙잡을 나뭇가지도 없고

비에 젖어서 살짝 미끄럽기도 해서

길을 돌아가려다가 엉금엉금 기면서 기어이 올라갔다.

 

 

올라가서 내려다보니 잘 올라왔다는 생각이 절로 들 정도로

푸른 침엽수, 화사한 단풍, 졸졸 흐르는 시내와 하늘의 

환상적인 콜라보가 기다리고 있다.

가을은 냄새를 맡기에도 제일 좋고,
