Autumn is....

9월 27일 가을이 찾아 온 북 사스카추언 강에서 (North Saskatchewan River)

 

북 사스카추언 강은 로키의 해발 1900미터 높은 산에서 빙하가 녹은 물으로 시작해서

복동쪽으로 흘러서 우리 도시를 한 가운데를 가로 질러서

도시를 강북과 강남으로 나누어진다.

 

 

 

 

 

이 강의 길이는 약 1300 km 에 달하고

알버타주의 동쪽 이웃주인 사스카추언 주로 흘러 들어간다.

이 강변을 따라서 약 190 km 에 달하는 멋진 자전거 길이 놓여져 있어서

겨울을 제외하고는 가자전거나 롤러블레이드를 타거나, 조깅을 하기에 아주 좋고,

4개월 이상 눈으로 항상 덮여 있는 겨울엔 크로스 칸트리 스키를 즐기는 사람들이 많다.

 

더위가 가시고, 선선한 바람이 부는 9월이 되자

산보와 자전거타기가 아주 수월해져서, 비만 오지 않으면

매일 아침 집 뒤에 있는 작은 강을 따라 있는 동네 자전거길이나

가끔 내키면 자전거를 차에 bike rack에 올려놓고 집에서 차로 10분 거리에 있는

사스카추언 강변 자전거 길로 원정을 가서 낙엽이 뒹구는 bike trail 위를

신나게 달리면서 가을을 만끽하곤 한다.

 

주말이 시작하는 오늘 일을 시작하기 전에 일찌감치 오랜만에 카메라도 메고 자전거를 싣고

아름다운 가을의 고운 색상을 담아 보기 위해서 사스카추언 강가로 달려 가 보았다.
