86회오스카 수상자들 & 역대 오스카수상식 25 베스트드레서, 삼성갤럭시폰 광고

 

올해도 예년처럼 온세계의 많은 영화팬들의 관심이 모인 가운데에

할리우드에서 86회 오스카 수상식이 화려하게 개최되었다.

 

어떤 배우가 연기상을 받을지, 어떤 영화가 최우수 작품상을 받을지,

수상식이 끝날 때까지 같이 티비를 보던 가족들과 서로 실갱이를 벌이기도 하고,

피자 사기 내기도 하면서 시종 suspenseful 하게 시상식을 시청했다.

 

오스카 상 자체만큼 많은 사람들의 관심을 받는 것은

뭐니뭐니해도 이날 시상식에 참석하고자, 레드 카페트를 밟은

아름다운 여배우들이 심사숙고해서 고르고 고른 멋진 드레스일 것이다.

 

일이 늦게 끝나서 시상식 전야제에 해당하는 레드 카페트 쇼를 보지 못했지만

수상식을 보면서 실제 상황대로 제깍제깍 인터넷 신문에 올라 온 사진들을 컴퓨터로 보면서

놓쳐 버린 아름다운 자태를 뽐내고 시상식에 참석한 여배우들의 아름다운 모습을 챙겨 보았다.

 

인터넷 신문에서 역대의 많은 오스카 수상식에서

가장 아름답고 멋진 25 베스트 드레스로 선정된 드레스와 여배우들의 사진들이 올라 왔다.

많은 세월동안 유행도 많이 바뀌고, 미의 기준도 바뀌었지만,

사진속의 여배우들과 드레스는 시간과 계속 변하는 유행에도 불구하고

여전히 아름답기만 하다.

아이들이 성장해 가면서 각자에게 주어진 일과 학업에  바쁘다 보니

온 가족이 함께 극장에 함께 보고 싶은 영화를 보는 횟수가 점점 줄어들고 있어서

내심 안타깝고, 서운했는데, 팝콘과 주점부리를 먹어가면서 수다도 떨면서

시상식을 함께 보다가 자연스럽게 서로 스케줄을 조절해서 한달에 하루를 따로 지정해서

적어도 후보에 올라 온 영화들을 하나씩 보러 가자고 다들 의견을 모았다.

 

그래서 이번 다가 오는 주말에 있을 바하 B 단조 미사곡 합창공연을 마치고,

이미 연말에 관람한 "12년간 노예", '블루 제스민" 와 "켑틴 필립스"를 제외하고

우선 상을 제일 많이 받은 그래비티부터 보러 가자고 의기투합해서 즉석에서 정했다.

그리고 그 다음은 아메리칸 허슬

이날 시상식 사회를 맡은 엘렌 디제너리스 씨가

메릴 스트립, 브래드 피트, 엔젤리나 졸리, 쥴리아 로버츠, 제니퍼 로렌스

그리고 케빈 스페이시와 함께 삼성 갤럭시로 폰으로 selfie를 찍은 영상이다.

재미난 사실은 이 사진에 나오는 인물들은 8개의 오스카상 수장자들이자,

그들이 출연한 영화로 $12,000,000,000 벌어 들인 할리우드의 최고 엘리트들이다.

 

그런데 사회자이자 코미디언인 엘렌이 마치 시상식 도중에

즉흥적으로 객석에 내려가서 셀피를 찍은 것이 아니라

티비 중계를 맡은 ABC 와 이 시상식의 광고주의 하나이자 엘렌의 폰 제작자인 삼성이

이미 사전에 철저하게 준비된 각본에 의해서 나온 연출이라고 밝혀졌다.

그리고 엘렌이 이렇게 삼 갤럭시로 찍은 사진이

트위터를 통해서 순식간에 전세계에 퍼질 것을 이미 계산에 넣어 둔 결과이기도 하다.

그래서 전문가들은 이 사건이야말로 할리우드의 쇼맨쉽을 무대위만이 아니라

커텐 뒤의 액션을 적나라하게 보여 주었다는 견해가 압도적이다.

 

이 셀피 사진은 TheEllenShow account에 바로 올려지자마자

1시간내에 2,500,000 번 re-tweet 가 되어서 re-tweet 기록을 세우기도 했다.

 

올해 오스카 수상식 중에 30초간 광고 비용이  $180만 임을 감안하면

총 $2000만 를 광고비용으로 썼는데, 엘렌이 찍은 셀피가 viral 영상으로 뜨면서

직접적으로 광고비로 지출된 금액에 비할 수 없을만한 덕을 본 셈이다.

그리고 전반적으로 점점 미디아 상에  엔터테인먼트와 광고의 영역이

분간하기 어렵게 가는 추세이지만, 너무도 적나라하고 지나치게 광고가

엔터테인먼트 영역을 넘어서면, 오히려 소비자들의 반감을 살 우려를 낳는다는 것을

광고 전문가들은 꼬집어 말 하기도 했다.

 

이날 수상식 중에 엘렌이 피자를 주문해서 배달된 Big Mama's and Pappa's Pizza 각게도

역시 유명세를 톡톡히 탔는데, 배달된 피자 박스 겉에는 코카콜라의 로고가 선명하게 보였는데,

이날 수상식 때의 거금을 들인 굵직한 광고주의 하나는 펩시 콜라여서 참 아이러니한 반전이다.

 

결과적으로, 오스카 수상식을 통해서 삼서 갤럭시 폰 광고는

거금과 치밀한각본에 의해서 엘렌이 찍은 영상 덕분에 광고의 최고의 목적을 달성했기에

혹자는 올해 오스카 최고의 영예는 삼성에게 돌아갔다고 평을 한다.
