2011년도 Christmas concert 무대....

 

 12월 23일 공연 5분 전에 막내가 찰칵~

 

 

예년보다 며칠 늦게 12월 21과 22일 밤에 RES 합창단은 매년 그래 왔듯이

Edmonton Symphony Orchestra 공연 시리즈 중에서 약간 다가가기 힘든 클래식 시리즈와 달리

보통 시민들의 사랑을 받고 있는 가볍고 대중적인 음악을 선사하는 Lighter Classics 시리즈의 하나인

크리스마스 연주회가 양일 다 표가 매진될 정도로 성황리에 무대에 올려졌습니다.

 

오늘까지 정상적인 스케줄의 일을 하면서, 화요일의 총연습, 그리고 수요일과 목요일에 공연을 하느라

3일 내내 저녁도 못 챙겨 먹고, 허둥지둥 공연에 임했지만,

연습과 공연 중에 때로는 힘차게, 때로는 묵상하듯이 캐롤을 부르면서

성탄의 주제인, 희망, 평화, 기쁨을 맛 볼 수 있어서 새로운 에너지를 얻은 것 같았다.

이번 공연때 합창단이 부른 성가의 대부분은 세계적으로 잘 알려진 유타주의 몰몬 타버나클 합창단의

총책임자이자 지휘자인 Wilberg 씨가 편곡을 한 곡들과

영화 Home Alone의 영화음악을 공연해서 청중들에게 크리스마스 spirit를 선사 해 드렸다.

 

 

 

 

 12월 20일 화요일 저녁에 총연습 중 휴식 중에....

왼편에 첼리스트 옆에 선 지휘자 Stuart Chafetz씨와  오른편에 의자에 걸터 앉은

베이스 독창자 Nathan Berg 씨와

에드몬튼 심포니 오케스트라 단원들의 모습이 보인다.

 

 

 

 

 15분간의 총연습 휴식 시간중에 공연홀의 로비가 나가 보니 로비의 트리와 바깥의

가로수에 걸쳐있는 불들이 크리스마스 분위기를 풍겨준다.

 

 

 

 

 

 로비 위의 층도 아름답게 장식이 되어 있고,

 

 

 

 

 

 울 동네 수준으로는 추위도 아닌 영하 2도의 날씨라서 겉옷도 걸치지 않고, 잠시 문을 열고 거리로 나와서....

 

 

 

 

 

공연장에서  약 50 미터 앞에 위치한 에드몬톤 시청과 앞 광장에서도 크리스마스 분위기가 물씬...

 

 

 

 

 

12월 23일 금요일 저녁 8시에  열릴 공연 직전, 지휘지와 독창자를 기다리면서...

The First Nowell
