설국의 숲길에서 눈에 관한 멋진 글귀와 함께... 2022년 1월 28일 눈 덮인 동네숲 산책길에서 집을 나서자마자 바로 앞에 오랜만에 멋진 파란 하늘이 반겨준다. 낮 기온이 영상 2-3도가 되면서 길이 녹았다가 얼어서 미끄럽기에 아예 튼실한 Cleats를 부츠에 달고 길을 나섰다. 호수는 여전히 얼어붙었고, 그 위에 펼쳐진 파란 하늘을 너무 멋지다. 파란 하늘 자체만으로도 우울함을 말끔하게 날려버릴 것만 같다. 12월부터 내린 눈이 고스란히 남은 길을 매번 이 길을 걷는 주민들을 위해서 커뮤니티 위원회에서 깔끔하게 눈을 치워 주어서 산책을 즐길 수 있다. 오랜만에 파란 하늘을 볼 수 있어서 그저 행복해진다. 든든하게 snow cleats를 부츠에 달았기에 자작나무 뒤의 숲 속으로 편한 맘으로 들어갔다. 눈이 덮인 숲 속은 사람의 모습은 보이지 않고 눈.. 2022. 1. 31.

[좋은 영시 감상 160] The Bare Arms of Trees by John Tagliabue/저물어 가는 울 동네 가을 2021년 10월 8일 위도가 높은 캐나다 대평원에 위치한 울 동네는 야속하리만큼 가을이 무척 짧다. 그래서 10월 중순이면 가지에 달린 잎보다는 땅에 떨어진 낙엽들이 훨씬 더 많다. 그래서 비만 오지 않으면, 기온에 상관없이 짧디 짧은 가을을 온몸으로 느껴보기 위해서 매일같이 시간을 내어서 발로 또는 자전거를 타고 동네를 쏘다닌다. 평균 12,000보를 걷거나 50 km를 자전거로 달리다 보니, 묵직한 카메라를 매고 나가 보기보다는 간편하게 셀폰을 들고나가서 황금빛으로 물든 숲을 눈도장 찍듯이 담아 보곤 한다. 소멸의 아름다움 역시 눈물 나도록 아름답다. 산책길 가생이에 사그라져 가는 덤불을 움직이는 가을바람도 마냥 좋다. 서서히 생을 마무리하는 자연의 이치를 느껴볼 수 있는 동네 보호 숲 사각거리는 .. 2021. 10. 22.
