On the highway 16 near Barhead, Winter of 2008, The Academy of American Poets 에서 과거 10년간 동안 미국인들에게서 가장 사랑받는 top 25 시편을 아래와 같이 선정했습니다.. 기분 좋게도 개인적으로 좋아하는 시인들과 그리고 그들의 멋진 시들이 많이 포함되어 있습니다. 오랫동안 많은 사람들에게서 사랑을 받아 온 고전적인 시들보다는 현재 생존 해 있는 미국의 시인들의 근대의 시들이 많이 포함되어 있는 점이 특이합니다. 그리고 Contemporary 시인들의 작품이라서 평범하고 현 시대에 보편된 어휘와 시어로 쓰여져서 평소에 어린 학생들을 포함해서 보통 사람들에게 자칫 어렵고 멀게만 느껴지는 시들과 쉽게 가까워질 수 있다는 걸 시사하기도 합니다.. 2010. 1. 8.

[좋은 봄영시감상12] 한시 두보의 호우시절 요즘 한국에서 호우시절이라는 영화가 인기리에 방영이 되고 있다는 것을 다음 블로그 대문 왼쪽에 걸려 있는 걸 종종 보았습니다. 그냥 단어만 보아서 무슨 뜻인지 전혀 감이 었어서 관심 밖이었다가 조금 전에 블로그 친구인 메이님께서 호우시절이라는 단어가 두보의 시에서 유래했다는 글을 읽고 혹시 이 시가 아닐까 하는 예감에 원어인 중국어를 영어로 번역한 것을 또 다시 어줍잖은 한글 번역과 함께 올려 봅니다. 원글에서 두번이나 번역을 거친 내용이 실제와 거리가 있을까 두렵지만 한시의 대가이신 oldcow님이 원글과 함께 맛깔스럽게 바로 잡아 주실 걸로 믿습니다. 이 영화가 잔잔하게 감동을 주는 이 시와 연관이 있다니 재주껏 찾아서 보아야 할 생각을 하면서 나도 누군가가 살다가 목말라하고 기대고 싶을때 그 갈증을.. 2009. 10. 19.
